I was going to post a one-liner saying, "how can you not like a Democratic candidate who quotes Meat Loaf" and leave it at that... but then I realized that not only was the song quote wrong, the intent of the sticker is exactly the opposite. From the song (off "Bat Out of Hell II"), the quote is:

If life is just a highway
Then the soul is just a car
And objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are
Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are


That's hardly the message Edwards wants to send!

[Edited: 9:30pm. Sigh, the joke fails -- Meat Loaf sung it backwards intentionally, and Edwards had it right. "Objects in the rear view mirror may be closer than they appear." I blame Jim Steinman for being funny when I wasn't looking.]

Wait a minute, that's not what your example says. I'd swear that the car parked in front of the office _did_ have the "may appear closer than they are" message, but most of the examples I Google'd are like this. John Edwards had it right, and Meat Loaf misled me.
