What if I asked, instead, if all the strangest commercials were Japanese?

Here's an article in the Register about a commercial for Star Office, Sun's open source-based office suite, which has a Japanese woman giving birth to a colt in surprise at the low, low prices. Dude.

I'd like to know if that commercial does anything for sales of Star Office.

I've never used it. Now that OpenOffice has a 1.1.x version for MacOS X, I was thinking of trying that out, but these days, I'm not a heavy Office user, so I probably wouldn't notice the problems. Should I bother asking what sucks about it?

If it ever fails to suck, I hope wherever you happen to be when you find that out has convenient bales of straw like the one in the commercial.
