Oh, my. Teresa Nielsen Hayden has posted a list of Tolkien pastiches done in the style of other authors. I missed this the first time around, but some of these were absolutely hysterical. When I got to #15, it was so unexpected that it had me rolling on the floor. I was dyin'.

Now I get to go look up the answers to the ones that I couldn't identify...

Didn't I point you at this a couple weeks back?

I <heart> Making Light -- I really need to read it more often than once in a blue moon :-)

Maybe the first time the topic came around? I don't think so; I think I would've remembered and forwarded it on and all that. Or maybe it's just that this compendium is so enormous that I was overwhelmed. And singing.

*grin*. Same here.

As with any collection of this nature, many of the filks are painful. But some are just lovely.

Gollum. And Sauron. Singing, to "Agony" from Into the Woods.

Did we abuse it
Or show it disdain?
Why does it run from usssss?
Now that we've lost it
How shall we regain?
The preciousss must come to ussss!

Gimli and Legolas, with "Any orc you can shoot I can shoot faster... I can shoot any orc faster than you."

I giggle a _whole lot_.
