I know I'm beating a dead horse, but this NYT article says that Bush doesn't even allow questions from Republican Congressmen!

In a 45-minute pep rally in a basement conference room under the West Front of the Capitol, Mr. Bush told more than 200 House and Senate Republicans that the United States was firmly committed [...]

Mr. Bush took no questions from the lawmakers, and left without speaking to reporters roped off in a corner of the Capitol's basement.

His administration is in meltdown mode...if his challenger was more inspiring, his poll numbers would be in the 30s.

Do you really think so? I can't tell anything. I mean, it seems to me like they _ought_ to be in crisis mode, but I would've thought that before, too, you know?
