The Word

I think Stephen Colbert's "The Colbert Report" show is just too much, and is doomed, doomed, doomed. But I love "The Wørd" segment at the beginning of each show -- it's brilliant, their use of counter-point messages on the side while he does his over-the-top thing.

Today's word was "spectacle", and it was about the death penalty. The quote of the day is:

My own Catholic Church is against the death penalty, which I think is pretty hypocritical of them. C'mon, they wouldn't even have a religion if it weren't for capital punishment!
