I'm tempted to write snailmail to Greg Jackson about his recent dissing of Macs. "Worth it" is subjective, I realize, but I have this mistaken belief that as a U of C alum he'll listen to me. I know, he doesn't listen to current U of C people, so why listen to former ones? (Answer: money?) At least the cost of trying is fairly low.
