last week is fired

Last week is fired. Well, all of February has really stunk, but last week was the week of fevers, antibiotics, and everyone coughing all night. Between Presidents Day and a snow day, the kids only missed 2 real days of school compared to their classmates, but they were out for basically the entire week until Friday. Meanwhile, this hit the grownups on the latter half of the week. Between the super heavy wet snow I was shoveling on Weds. and the wracking coughs the next day, my back felt like it was going to go out again at any moment.

Fortunately, we've made it through. We all slept a ton this weekend, we re-washed all the things, and hopefully we're in the clear. No one has an elevated temp as of this morning (<knock on wood>), and everyone is at school and/or work. I feel pretty darn weak from week's worth of inactivity, but I did my PT exercises for my back so that I can prevent it from going out again, and I'm trying to get work done.

February, good riddance.
