Am I the only one who read this story about the trains crashing in North Korea, "carrying flammable items, leaving a large number of casualties, and causing North Korea's leader to declare a state of emergency in that region", to think that it's a cover-up for a nuclear mishap?

How about an attempt to take out the Great Leader, whose only travels by train, and who passed through there not too long before.

They have not, from what I've heard, even reported this happened in the North Korean media. Kind of reminds me of Chernobyl, where the Soviet government (yes, it was being run by Gorbie, and was still acting according to the old script) said nothing about the disaster until neighboring countries noticed clouds of radiation drifting over their borders.

Btw, satellite images should be online soon at Global Security's Public Eye (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/dprk/ryongchon-imagery.htm).

This is a great web site (I especially like their sarcastically titled page (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/global-deployments.htm) on where US forces are.

They're hurting for cash: I've donated to them, and would encourage others to do so.

Dude. Nice images. I've gone to their site every once in a while; I agree, they seem to do a good job.

Any more news on the "attempted assassination" theory?
